Welcome to Brandon & Tyler's Senior Project Homepage
We have been chosen by the CIO of Virginia Wesleyan College to research
and develop a mobile application for Virginia Wesleyan College
powered by Ellucican Mobile. This project is meant to go along with the
Portal that is being developed for the college at this moment. The goal
is first conduct research on mobile applications for colleges. This was done by
reading up on an annual study conducted by EDUCAUSE as well as a study
conducted by former Dean of Virginia Union U. that stated 76% of high
school students were using mobile devices in the classroom already. This
showed that the upcoming freshmen at the college are already accustomed to
using their mobile device therefore, we should provide them with something in college
as well to help their transition be as smooth as possible. This
information was presented to the Presidential Cabinet and they endorsed
our project. As of now, our sponsors of the project are Robert Leitgeb,
CIO of Virginia Wesleyan College and Mort Gamble, Vice President of Advancement. Below are links to
